I discovered a little book owned by my dear husband, Mr. Radiant Times, called Prayers of the Early Church which was originally complied and edited by J. Manning Potts and published in 1953. In subsequent posts, I will edit (updating antiquated language) and publish selected prayers here for the benefit of my readers.

Is it a coincidence that the Methodist church has gone from one of America's largest denominations to one that is seriously declining?

Some candidates will do anything for a vote

Well, here is the latest offering by Hillary Clinton. I'm not impressed by the fake drawl- nor the fake spirituality. Drudge aptly called this Kentucky Fried Hillary. I know the song "I don't get no ways tired" and have sung it many times. It is very inspirational, or at least was until it was drawled-out by Clinton at a black church in Kentucky. Who does she think she is fooling??? I think I would be turned off by this even if I did believe in her politics.

It's one of those long days

I managed to finish my trill paper done and turned in. I've finished two rehearsals already and have two more this afternoon - one for my private children's choir and one for church. Then Wednesday night service, and after that I am looking forward to a good night's sleep. I sure need it!

Being a music teacher is hard work but I would not want to do any other type of work (although I am quite skilled in a number of fields) And being a musician is a calling. We tell the students that you only become a music major if you know you would not be happy doing anything else. If a person knows they are a musician, they will do the hard work required to become a professional.

Well, this post is not stellar, but it's a little glimpse into my day.
