God Bless American and those who protect us!
As we celebrate our independence, may we not forget to lift a prayer for our troops all around the world in harms' way, and all the of our domestic protectors - the Police, Fire Fighters, Border Patrol and so many others. No matter what your religion, have a listen to this amazing song and video "Somebody's Praying Me Through" sung by Allen Asbury.
God bless America! God bless our military! God bless those who protect us on our native soil! We are so blessed and so free because of them.

"Now they're only hiring those with papers"
In Panama Beach, Florida, the authorities have developed an effective strategy for finding Illegal Immigrants.
Those who scream for an amnesty policy for Illegal Immigrants are among those who use minorities for political gain - The Democrats. I would dare say it should be investigated how Democrats control the majority of the black population of the United States by the multitude of promises of government help while keeping so many in a crippling welfare system and without school choice in our cities. It is a travesty! They are doing the same to the Illegal Immigrants - keeping up the promise of free bilingual education (which usually means many students will be below par in both languages), free food, health care and citizenship for their children born in this country. Social services are promised in America the land of milk and honey where Illegal families stuff themselves into cracker box houses and subsist on beans and rice.
But back to what is happening in Florida. The laws that are already on the books are being enforced, and this should be the case for all States.
Should we have a Federal Immigration Bill? Maybe not! Maybe individual states need to make their own laws and enforce them.
I'll leave you with Jose Madrid's words:
Deputies in patrol cars pull up to a construction site in force, and watch and see who runs.
Apparantly Florida has a law that has been on the books for a long time: Employers are Prohibited from Knowingly Hiring Illegals. Sherriff Frank McKeithen is merely enforcing the laws that are already on the books.

Is this legal??? Is this right?
The Santa Fe Police Department is thinking about hiring Mexican Nationals to fill vacancies in the Police Department. The people they are thinking about are here in the US legally, but are not citizens. New Mexico Police Academy regulations prohibit non-citizens from serving as police officers.
What do you think about this???
I want to know if the Mexican Nationals are in the process of acquiring citizenship and have a clean background history. If not, they should be barred from the police force. I think that without some proof of loyalty to the United States of America from the potential applicants the Santa Fe Police Department would open itself to security risks.
I am all for legal immigration as this country is the land of opportunity, and I do believe the immigration process is painfully slow (my mother went through the process when I was a child). But if the Mexican Nationals have no intention of assimilating into our culture and becoming Americans, let them seek out other employment than that which is a critical link in our national security.
